About us
Located at Jiangyin City, which is the center of the famous Changjiang Economic Development Delta, Changjiang Ship-breaking Yard boats the advantage of convenient transport system, east to Shanghai, south to Taihu Lake, west to Changzhou, north alongside Yangze River.
Estabilished in 1998, Changjiang Ship-breaking Yard covers an area of 1,500,000 square meters and the building space is more than 80,000 square meters, it occupies the Yangtze River waterfront line 5,100 meters. The value of the fixed asset of Changjiang Ship-breaking Yard is more than 700,000,000 RMB, the total working force is more than 1200 peoples, and among them there are 280 in the management and technical positions. Presently, the annual capability of the yard is up to 1.8 million lightweight tons, four 10,000 tonnage docks can dismantle 11 vessels at the same time, and each can be over 10,000 LDT.
Changjiang Ship-breaking Yard now is one of the largest ship-recycling yards in China. The environmental protection is highly respected by the yard, and the HSE is regarded as the life of the yard. In 2004, the yard passed ISO14001 Environmental Management Standard Test and OHSMS18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Test, and got the ISO9001 Quality Management System Certificate in 2010. Many officers and representatives from government and ship-owners from overseas and domestic, such as SEPA and MSA of PRC and US, Green Peace, CNSA, P&O NEDLLOYD, MAERSK SEALAND, “K” Line, Exxon Mobile, Shell, Total, have come to the yard and have shown great respect to its achievement in HSE.
The yard is very keen in cooperation with the outside, and is the pioneers in “Green Ship Recycling” in the world. It is one of the members of ISRA (International Ship Recycling Association). Permanent and close business relations have been set up with the ship-owners from Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, US, UK, France, Japan, Korea and HK etc. The wide application of “Pre-Cleaning” has won the great admiration and appreciation by the partners. Changjiang Ship-Breaking Yard sincerely wishes to continue the co-operation with all the partners, old and new, home and overseas, hand-in-hand to create a brilliant future.
